Sherman O. Canapp, Jr.

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Sherman Canapp, a Maryland native, performed his graduate studies in biochemistry at Johns Hopkins University, where he gained experience in surgical and pharmaceutical research. Dr. Canapp completed a combined DVM and Masters of Clinical Science in Surgery at Kansas State University in 1999.

For the past eight years, Dr. Canapp’s exclusive area of interest, clinical work, lecturing, and research has revolved around sports medicine and rehabilitation therapy, specifically canine sports-related injury, sport rehabilitation, and performance.

Helen Tsoi
DVM, Cornell University
Dr. Tsoi attended Stony Brook University for her B.S. in Biology. She then moved onto the well-known Cornell Univeristy for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group (VOSM) since 2019, first as a surgical intern, and continuing her education as the Sports Medicine Research Fellow.
Surgery is a passion of Dr. Tsoi's, which she has developed while exploring the world of orthopedics and sports medicine at VOSM. She has also discovered an interest in clinical research, which led her to the Research Fellow position. While in this role, she has submitted two manuscripts for publication and with more on the way!
Dr. Tsoi is from New York, and loves to try new foods and explore new restaurants. She currently lives in Maryland with her dog Walter, who is an office favorite. This summer she is looking to expand her knowledge with a surgical residency!

Jeff Curry
B.S., Wildlife Biology
Jeff earned his B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Frostburg State University in 2013 and came to work with OrthoBiologic Innovations after first getting his feet wet in the academic and government sectors. Jeff's previous fields of research include parasitology, avian ecology, and fisheries management. In his current role as Research Technician Jeff enjoys interacting with patients and their families, and helping to develop cutting-edge technologies to better the lives of future patients around the world.
In his off time Jeff enjoys boating, fishing, camping, cooking, and is an amateur video game historian. A Maryland native, Jeff lives in Baltimore County with his fiancee and their ever-expanding family of rescued pets.
Alyse Carter
B.S. Environmental Science & Policy
Alyse Carter earned her Bachelors of Science degree in 2011 from the University of Maryland, College Park, specializing in Environmental Science & Policy with a focus on sociology. Since graduation, Alyse has gained experience in academia working for the College of Agriculture and Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Her interest lies in the intersection of education and science. As Program Manager of Orthobiologic Innovations, her focus on research, development and education is crucial to taking our studies one step further from conceptualization.

When not in the office, you can find Alyse out in the wild at Merriweather Post Pavilion and cheering on her beloved Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. A true Marylander, Alyse lives in Columbia with an animated border collie and always finds a way to sneak Old Bay into her cooking!
